私の考えていること

One of my favorite quotes is by Jim Rohn: "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." Growing up in a small, traditional town in Central Asia, I never imagined I’d be studying and working across the globe, soaking in different cultures, mindsets, and perspectives. Each step of this journey has not only expanded my understanding of the world but also brought me into the orbit of great minds at Oxford, Cambridge, Berlin, and many other places where I've studied and worked. When you spend time with me, you're not just learning from me-you're learning from the collective wisdom of those incredible minds and experiences that have shaped me.

Learning has always been my great equalizer-it humbles me, breaks down walls, and opens up worlds I never knew existed. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that life is a stage, and we’re here to influence, inspire, and engage! Yet, in my recent experience, I’ve noticed a gap: many of us struggle to articulate our ideas or interests effectively. Traditional language programs often focus too much on grammar and vocabulary, leaving out the practical skills of communication and presentation that are so crucial in the real world. My approach is different. I immerse students in real-world scenarios, equipping them to express ideas clearly, argue persuasively, and present confidently. I envision a dynamic curriculum that blends language learning with legal education, fostering not just linguistic skills but also critical thinking. Let's build a future where communication knows no bounds. Join me at Hokudai, and let's make the world your stage.

高校生へのメッセージ

Until recently, I couldn't figure out why some of my students didn't enjoy learning English. Then, I tried snowboarding-and it all made sense. At first, I was terrified of the board. But I learned to love it by following three simple steps: first, I listened to my coach and asked tons of questions; second, I practiced relentlessly; and third, I embraced falling and making mistakes. It's all part of the process.

English can feel the same way-intimidating at first, but entirely conquerable with the right guidance, practice, and a willingness to stumble. Whether you want to connect with people from other cultures, lose yourself in an English book, present at international conferences, or publish in top journals, the possibilities are endless. It's not just about learning a language; it's about unlocking new worlds. My goal is to empower you-to help you become confident communicators, skilled thinkers, and agile problem-solvers who can navigate the complexities of life and work with clarity and precision. In today’s world, you are not just your expertise-you are your ability to communicate it effectively.

If you're ready to take that step, I'd love to help. Reach out through my homepage or stop by my office at Hokudai. Let's work together to achieve your goals and make your experiences richer. Welcome-I can't wait to see you soon!
